What can I expect from just a polish?

With minimal wear, a briliant shine! Polishing only makes the floor shiny and in some cases not at all. If your floor is too worn down from foot trafic, scratching and ethching then it will need to be honed and preped for polish first. In this case without the hone you may end up with a shiny floor that brings out every flaw in the finish, or a floor that just wont take a shine.
