  • My marble is etching, but it was sealed

Sealing provides a limited amount of protection that is often misunderstood by most customers and sometimes over sold by some service providers.
Sealers are more effective on some stones and less on others because of their natural various"DENSITIES, POROSITIES and SURFACE FINISH".
A sealer simply slows down moisture penetration time. 90% of the time the problem is surface etching from something acidic. The sealer slows down the amount of damage that would have occured, had there been no sealer at all. Spills from toilet bowl & tile cleaners, citris fruit drinks, or vinigar are usualy what causes the damage...
  • Can you realy make it look new again and match the original shine?

Yes, and if you the customer has any doubts about the finish we can do a sample test area to confirm to you the finish you can expect. .
  • Do I need a 15 yr sealer?

Sure if your not going to clean it for 15 years. In a few years your problem will be your dirty tile and grout.
When your floor gets a profesional cleaning, most of the sealer will be stripped off any way and will need to be resealed.
With proper cleaners a good sealer will last until your next cleaning. But its got to be the right sealer for the right stone surface.
Beware of any one who tries to sell you a sealer that they claim it will protect against everything, because their is no such sealer that will do that .
Sealers are only one part of the stonecare process. You understanding how to care for your stone is the main thing.
  • Do you do small jobs too like, chips. cracks, holes, pieces broken off

Yes, but we do have a minimum charge and and some times it may need to be scheduled on a date when we are in the area..
  • I have cup rings on my granite counter tops can you remove them?

Yes we can! Cup rings are not common on most granite, but on dark solid colors usualy and mostly black..
  • If I have my floors polished What about all my furniture and appliances?

We do all the moving. We cover, protect and mask everything as needed. When we are done we carfuly put everything back where it was. You wont have to move anything..
  • My Marble/Travertine has dull splash marks spots & rings

Those are acid etches from wrong cleaners that are acid base like tilex & vinigar,or spilled drinks with citris acid such as lemonade, orange juice, wine, gaterade power drinks..
  • What can I expect from just a polish?

With minimal wear, a briliant shine! Polishing only makes the floor shiny and in some cases not at all. If your floor is too worn down from foot trafic, scratching and ethching then it will need to be honed and preped for polish first. In this case without the hone you may end up with a shiny floor that brings out every flaw in the finish, or a floor that just wont take a shine..
  • What can you do with a plain ugly concrete garage floor?

We can polish it it to a mirror fininsh, then seal and densify it to make it stain resistant.
  • What can you do with cracked and chiped tiles?

If you have extra tiles we can replace them or fix them. We fix the cracks and chips in tiles with colored epoxy. First we create the color to match the tile then we do the repair. .
  • When can I walk on it after you finish

If it's ceramic or porcelane tile you can walk on it as soon as we are finished cleaning and sealing.
  • When you polish, hone or grind my floors will there be a lot of dust?

In most cases none at all because its done with a wet slury then vacuumed up with a floor extractor.
Walls, carpets, wood floors and such are all masked according to the service provided and after the restoration meticulously clean and detailed..
  • Why should I pay extra for honning?

honing removes all the surface flaw making a smoother finish for a more brilliant glossy shine. Honning is done in stages depending on how deep the surface damage is.
    For instance a
    3 stage polish = hone 400grit, 800grit, highshine polish.
Each cutting grit,Hone or polish is 1 stage
On some stones like green marble and granite Their are even more steps involved.
On some worn stone floors there is no polish without the hone and other times its just how brilliant of a shine do you want for your money.
